How It's Made

A quick look at how a pattern goes from my sketchbook to your porch.

It starts in my studio

Every pattern in this shop is drawn and designed by me, in my studio in Rottevalle in the north of the Netherlands. I work with both digital tools and hand-drawn sketches — whatever the design calls for. Nature is my biggest source of inspiration: shapes from the garden, colors from the fields, textures from wherever I happen to look.

Printed close to you

Once a design is ready, it goes to our print partners — one in the US and one in Germany. Your order is printed at whichever location is closest to you. That keeps shipping times short and shipping costs down. No container ships, no six-week waits.

Made to order

Nothing is printed until you place your order. That means no overstock, no waste, and every piece is made specifically for you. It takes a few extra days compared to buying off a shelf — but it's worth it.

The materials

We use materials chosen for how they actually hold up in real life — on a couch, on a porch chair, through a summer. Product pages list the specific material for each item.
